Karigar

KARIGAR- a sneaker that honors the hands that built it
In a world where sneakers are built for hype, we built one for respect.
The Story Behind the Karigar
This sneaker wasn’t made in a month.
It wasn’t built in a boardroom.
It was born in a factory in Agra.
Across 7 months of sampling, testing, failing, rebuilding until every stitch told a story.
We called it Karigar the Hindi word for craftsman, because this sneaker isn’t just made for the culture, it’s made by the culture.
India has been the sweatshop of the world for too long. Big brands have exploited our labor, but never told our stories.
We flipped the script.
For the first time, the same karigars who built the sneaker now earn royalties from it.
Every pair sold helps provide health insurance to their families something most blue-collar workers in India have never had access to.
This is more than a sneaker.
It’s a piece of Indian pride.

Why It Matters
When you wear Karigar, you’re not just wearing a sneaker.
You’re carrying the legacy of the workers who kept India moving.
You’re part of a movement that believes respect > clout.
And that value should go back to the hands that create.
This is a sneaker for the builders. The makers. The oversteppers.
And if you’re reading this, you’re already part of the story.
